Maryland Energy Rebates: Potomac Edison Performance Audit

A performance audit must be performed by a Building Performance Institute (BPI) certified technician. This expert evaluates heating and cooling systems, windows, and insulation and also performs a blow test that will disclose air leaks. Working closely with the homeowner, the technician pinpoints energy saving improvements that should be made. The expert may also install energy efficient products such as:

  • Fluorescent light bulbs
  • Showerheads
  • Kitchen and bathroom faucet aerators

Audit Report

The BPI certified expert prepares a thorough report detailing recommendations that will increase the home’s energy effectiveness. The homeowner makes the decision on which improvements they wish to install. All improvements must be installed by a contractor that is participating in the Home Energy program.

Homeowners have been pleased with the results of energy audits on their home. Their home is more comfortable to live in and they save up to 40% on their monthly utility bills. Equipment installation costs should be covered by the rebate.

If you live in Montgomery, Frederick, and Washington Counties, these are the areas that have Potomac Edison Rebate.  Call us today if you have any questions or to schedule your energy audit.
